Downward-Facing Dog (“Down Dog”) is an inverted yoga pose where the body forms an “V” shape, with hips raised, hands and feet on the mat, and head lowered. It’s a powerful full-body stretch that strengthens the wrists, arms, shoulders, and back while elongating the hamstrings, calves, and spine. To do it, start on hands and knees, then lift your hips, straightening your legs to create an inverted “V” with a long spine.
